TEACHING
Offering in person and online lessons for students of all ages and levels.
As a teacher, I am dedicated to finding the best approach for each student. Years of teaching in different settings has only taught me that every student learns differently, and what works for one may not work for another. Drawing from the Suzuki method as well as other pedagogical approaches, I address each student as an individual to help them become independent and confident musicians. My goal is for each student to feel supported, motivated, and excited when coming to their lesson each week. All are welcome!

For in person lessons, my home studio is located in Mt. Lebanon, a suburb just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Online lessons are available to students anywhere in the world.

When we meet, we will establish a regular weekly lesson time that works with both of our schedules. I understand that sometimes conflicts arise and will work with you to find a time to reschedule if needed.
Lessons take place for 30, 45, or 60 minutes. Young beginners will typically start at 30 minutes. 60 minute lessons are recommended for middle and high school students.

I like to meet each prospective student for a free trial lesson to see if we are a good fit. We will do a lot of talking and a little bit of playing, and I will try to answer any questions you might have.

TESTIMONIALS
My daughter has been learning violin with Ms. Claire for the past 5 years. She is an amazing and a passionate teacher, going above and beyond to see my kid succeed. She was able to adapt to our learning style and helped my kid progress to Chamber this year. Ms. Claire makes learning fun and truly helps develop a love for the art. I am thankful to have connected with her.

Ms. Claire has been an exceptional violin teacher for our child, Jaden, for the past 7 years here in Richmond, Texas. Her dedication, patience, and talent have played a huge role in Jaden’s growth and success as a violinist. Under her instruction, Jaden consistently earned perfect scores in UIL solo performances year after year…because of the strong connection and the quality of instruction she provides. Thanks to her consistent support and guidance, Jaden developed not only technical skill but also a true love for music.
